Meet Adam
Hello, my name is Adam Koch, and I am honored to introduce myself and announce that I am running for Jackson County Sheriff. I did not make the decision to file for this position lightly. For me, serving as Sheriff is not about title, it is about responsibility to the deputies who put on the uniform every day, to their families, and the residents of Jackson County that trust us to keep them safe.
I attended Alexandria Technical College and graduated from the law enforcement program in 2004. After graduation, I began serving the communities of Cottonwood County, MN and Mountain Lake, MN. I worked for the Lakefield, MN Police Department for several years before moving to Rapid City, SD and working for the Rapid City Police Department. When our first child was born, we moved back to Lakefield to be closer to family and I have been a proud member of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office since 2014. Currently I serve as Investigator for the department. The experiences I have gained throughout my career have given me a first hand understanding of the day-to-day operations of all areas of the Sheriff's Department.
Choosing to raise our family in Jackson County is one of the best decisions we have ever made. I was born in Lakefield, MN, and my wife Brittany and I both grew up in and around the Windom area. We have been married 20 years and have two amazing kids. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, attending kids’ events, and spending time with my family and friends.
I look forward to continuing to work with the great team at the Sheriff's Office and continue developing our relationship with local, state, and federal agencies we partner with. I humbly ask for your support, and your vote on November 3rd.
